Why I'm Lapping the Map
Everyday I wake up, go to work, and am lucky enough to hear and read the most incredible stories about our recipients every day who receive Hearing Assistance and Diabetic Alert Dogs.The Lions Diabetic Alert Dog program is the only program in Australia providing Assistance Dogs at NO COST. Other providers charge upwards of $20,000. Diabetes is an expensive illness and why should we add to that burden when we can alleviate it by running activities such as Lap the Map and rally the community to get behind such an amazing program?
I also need to get moving again so this is my push, out of my hole, back into exercising and being kind to my body. What better motivation :)
