We're doing Lap the Map to Transform Lives with Diabetic Alert Dogs
This term, our school community is taking part in Lap the Map to help provide life-changing Diabetic Alert Dogs to Australians living with diabetes.
Living with diabetes can involve constant stress and uncertainty around blood sugar levels. Diabetic Alert Dogs are specially trained to detect dangerous blood sugar changes before they become life-threatening, helping keep their owners safe while also providing comfort, confidence, and companionship.
Through Lap the Map, our goal is to bring our school together to raise funds and awareness for this important cause.
Students can participate by:
- joining our organised school walks,
- tracking their own walking distances,
- gaining sponsorships or donations,
- or simply supporting the fundraiser.
We will be holding a group walk every Tuesday After-school. Meet by the outdoor stage for music, food, and a casual stroll for a good cause!
Our major community walk event will take place on Sunday, 7 June (Week 7) at 2 pm at D.M. Henderson Park.
Every donation helps support the training of more Diabetic Alert Dogs and provides hope and assistance to families living with diabetes.
Together, we can make a real difference, one step at a time.
